Mary Fraser BVMS PhD CertVD PGCHE FHEA CBiol MIBiol MRCVS
After qualifying from Glasgow Vet School Mary spent a year in mixed practice before returning to Glasgow to study dermatology and completed a PhD in atopic dermatitis funded by the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. Over the next few years she locumed in a variety of small animal practices from Edinburgh to Hampshire, ran a dermatology referral service and lectured to vet nurses at Edinburgh's Telford College and Edinburgh's Napier University. Outside of veterinary practice Mary looks after a variety of animals at home including a labrador, cat, tortoise, sheep, chickens and turkeys. When not looking after animals she can be found at the local accordion and fiddle clubs (on accordion) or at a Runrig concert.

RCVS Recognised Specialist in Zoo and Wildlife Medicine
Simon also qualified from Glasgow Vet School, worked for a year in mixed practice before heading North to Edinburgh where he spent 8 years in small animal practice. During this time he completed the RCVS Certificate and Diploma in Zoological Medicine and was the first vet in the UK to gain the Avian subdiscipline. In 2003 he was given RCVS Recognised Specialist status in Zoo and WIldlife Medicine. He is currently President of the British Veterinary Zoological Society. He enjoys all aspects of zoological medicine but has a particular interest in reptiles, parrots and birds of prey. He has lectured widely to both vets and veterinary nurses and has written or contributed to numerous veterinary textbooks. When not working SImon enjoys painting and clay pigeon shooting.
Susan Taylor Veterinary Nurse
Before arriving in Perth, Susan worked in a mixed practice in Fife for 7 and a half years in which time she gained valuable experience working within all aspects of the practice. During this time she gained the Animal Nursing Assistant qualification (passed with distinction!) and was also a Hill's Nutritional Advisor.
Outside of work Susan enjoys socialising with friends and trying to keep ft by running. She has 2 cats Max and Mikey.
